Our classes are hosted live via Zoom, allowing you to learn from anywhere in the country. These are not pre-recorded videos; they are interactive, real-time sessions where you can practice speaking and receive immediate feedback from our expert instructors.

I live in New Jersey. Can I still join your Italian culture and language sessions?

Absolutely! Our online Italian language lessons have expanded our community far beyond New Orleans. Please note that all class times (e.g., 6:00 PM) are listed in Central Time (CT). Many students from high-heritage areas like the NYC/NJ metro area join us to connect with their roots through our unique cultural lens.

Are these Italian classes for beginners only?

We offer a full range of levels, from Learn Italian for beginners (Novice I) to Advanced Italian language courses and specialized Italian conversation classes on Zoom sessions or in-person. If you have some prior knowledge, we can help you find the right level during our placement process.

What is the schedule for a typical "season" or session?

AICC offers four 8-week sessions per year: Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. Each class typically meets once a week for 90 minutes and can be taken via Zoom or in-person.

Yes! If you are in the Greater New Orleans area, we offer in-person instruction at our center located at 537 S. Peters St. in the Warehouse District.

Yes, becoming a member of the American Italian Cultural Center entitles you to discounts on language classes and events, as well as free admission to our museum.

Are textbooks included in the tuition?

Accepted Answer

Tuition covers the instruction and digital materials provided by the teacher. Textbooks are a separate purchase, Prego! An Invitation to Italian, 7th edition, is used across multiple sessions. The textbook is required for Zoom classes.
